Hosting “Home Made Music” Once Again

I will again be hosting the folk music radio show “Home Made Music” this Sunday, September 20. As always, I play music related to a theme – this week’s will be a combination of September/Autumn and Streets. While that may sound like a strange mix, it is because I have the privilege to bring to the studio a great new bluegrass/string band by the name of Magnolia Street. They will be playing live not only on the air, but about 11:30 AM in Highland Park, NJ as part of their 11th annual Arts in the Park street festival. Live music and other entertainment, food from local restaurants, an art show, and arts and crafts sale in downtown Highland Park, along Raritan Avenue.

Magnolia Stree5t is a group of seasoned professionals who will shortly be cutting their first CD as a group, though several have appeared on prior recordings.

The show airs on Sunday between 9 and 11 AM EDT on WRSU which is 88.7 on your FM dial in Central New Jersey and on the internet at: http://radio.rutgers.edu/
